Dana White confirmed at UFC 190 post fight press conference that Vitor Belfort is set to take on Dan Henderson in the main event at UFC Fight Night in Sao Paulo, Brazil November 7th.
This will be the 3rd meeting between the Belfort and Henderson. The first one was at Pride 32 – The Real Deal back in 2006 where Henderson defeated Belfort via unanimous decision.
The second fight took place at UFC Fight Night 32 with Belfort this time coming out with the victory as he defeated Henderson via KO head kick in Round 1 in Goiania, Brazil back in the month of November 2013.
Vitor Belfort has a MMA record of 24-11 and has won three out of his last four fights. Vitor Belfort has been competing in MMA since 1996 and holds notable wins over various MMA vets including Tank Abbott, Wanderlei Silva, Randy Couture and Rich Franklin. Belfort’s most recent fight was against current UFC Middleweight Champion Chris Weidman, where he lost via TKO punches in Round 1 at UFC 187 this past May.
Dan Henderson has a MMA record of 31-13 andy has won two out of his last four fights. Like Belfort, Henderson has also been in the MMA game for a while and has been competing since 1997. Henderson holds notable wins over Carlos Newton, Minotauro Nogueira, Renzo Gracie, Wanderlei Silva and Fedor Emelianenko just to name a few. Henderson’s most recent win was against TIm Boetsc at UFC Fight Night 68 via KO punches in Round 1 just this past June.
