UFC 230 now has a main event after weeks of speculation and confusion. Although it seemed as if Nate Diaz vs Dustin Poirier was possible to headline the event after a campaign by both fighters to fight for a new 165lbs title, it appears the UFC had other plans.
I’m Happy to announce that I’m bringing a new weight devision to the Ufc
I’ll be fighting the main event November 3rd in nyc against Dustin Poirier for the first ever 165lb belt superfighter devision
I’m happy to be apart of history @ufc @danawhite

Valentina Shevchenko, originally set to face former Strawweight Champion Joanna Jędrzejczyk, has been pulled from UFC 231 in favour for a 125lbs title fight against Sijara Eubanks.
Former Bantamweight Contender Valentina Shevchenko has an MMA record of (15-3) and has won 3 of her last four fights in the UFC. One of those fights was a close split decision loss to current UFC Bantamweight Champions Amanda Nunes at UFC 215 back in September of 2017.
Sijara Eubanks has an MMA record of (3-2). She competed in The Ultimate Fighter 26 and was scheduled to face Nicco Montano in the finale but was pulled from bout due to complications from weight cutting. She finally made her UFC debut at UFC Fight Night 131 in June, defeating Lauren Murphy by unanimous decision.
This bout will be for the vacant Women’s Flyweight title, scheduled to take place at UFC 230 in Madison Square Garden, Nov 3.
