UFC Ottawa Iaquinta vs Cerrone Preview

Al Iaquinta and Donald Cerrone will battle it out in the main event at UFC Ottawa this weekend. Laquinta (14-4-1) is coming off a performance of the night win over Kevin Lee back in December. This was the New Yorker’s second main event slot since stepping in on short notice to challenge Khabib Nurmagomedov for the vacant Lightweight title at UFC 223. Currently sitting at No.4 in the division, Al Iaquinta will now take on No.8 ranked Donald Cerrone.

Donald Cerrone (35-11) has a total of 30 fights in the UFC and is one of the most active fighters on the roster. He is currently coming off a second round TKO victory over Alexander Hernandez in January, earning him a fight of the night and performance of the night bonus. This was the ‘Cowboys’ first fight back at 155lbs having gone 6-4 at Welterweight. He will be hoping to make it two in a row at Lightweight, with a win this weekend at the Canadian Tire Centre in Ontario, Canada.
