The UFC have announced The finale for The Ultimate fighter 22 will take place Dec 11th in Las Vegas. This is one night prior to UFC 194 Aldo vs McGregor and is a change from the usual schedule of TUF events being on the Sunday, a day after.
The first fight confirmed so far will be Joe Lauzon (25-10) vs Evan Dunham (16-6). Joe Lauzon is coming off a recent TKO win over Takanori Gomi back in July, he has won three wins out of his last four fights. Evan Dunham also last fought in July when he defeated fan favourite, Ross Pearson in Glasgow. He is now on a two fight win streak after having three consecutive losses in a row.
The card will also feature a welterweight bout between Mike Pierce (17-6) and Ryan LaFlare (11-1). Mike Pierce is making his return after his injury caused in his last fight to Rousimar Palhares. Before that loss Pierce had been on a four fight win streak. Ryan LaFlare is coming off his first loss to Demian Maia back in March, Before that loss LaFlare had remained undefeated.
‘The Ultimate Fighter’ show will air on Fox Sports one in September and will see Conor McGregor as a coach for the European team, and Urijah Faber as a coach for the American team. The two will not fight at the end of the season. Featherweight Interim Champion Conor McGregor will face Reining Champion Jose Aldo at UFC 194.
