Former UFC Bantamweight Champion TJ Dillashaw has received a two year suspension from USADA after testing positive for a prohibited substance.
Dillashaw failed an in competition test taken January 18 and tested positive for ‘recombinant human erythropoietin’ (rHuEPO). The in-competition urine sample he provided was taken on January 18, prior to his title fight against Henry Cejudo at UFC Brooklyn.
The prohibited substance is a synthetic hormone used to stimulate the body’s production of red blood cells, increasing oxygen and power.
TJ Dillashaw will not be able to return from his suspension until January 2021. He voluntarily relinquished his Bantamweight title once he was made aware of the potential violation.
