Tito Ortiz vs Chael Sonnen set for Bellator 170, January 21st

Bellator MMA have announced that Tito Ortiz will take on new Bellator signing Chael Sonnen at UFC 170 in Los Angeles, January 21st.

Tito Ortiz has an MMA record of 18-12-1 and a Bellator MMA record of 2-1. A former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion, Tito made his Bellator debut in May 2014. He is coming off a 1st round submission loss to the current Bellator Champion Liam McGeary at Bellator 142 in September. Previously to that, Tito had defeated UFC vet Stephan Bonnar by split decision at Bellator 131 in November.

Chael Sonnen has a MMA record of 29-14-1. He will be making his Bellator debut after signing with the company in September. Sonnen retired from MMA in 2014 due to a string of failed drug tests that saw him suspended for two years by the Nevada State Athletic Commission. His last fight was a loss to Rashad Evans at UFC 167 in November 2013.

This bout will headline Bellator 170 at The Forum in Los Angeles, January 21st.
