T.J. Dillashaw set to face Dominick Cruz at UFC Fight Night Boston Jan.17

Dana White confirmed on UFC Tonight that Bantamweight Champion TJ Dillashaw will finally square off against Dominick Cruz in the main event at UFC Fight Night in Boston January 17th.

Dana did bear in mind that this fight is scheduled as long as Dominick Cruz stays healthy as he was unfortunately stripped of the title due to multiple injuries that kept him out of action.

The current Bantamweight Champ TJ Dillashaw has a MMA record of 12–2 and a UFC record of 8-2. Dillashaw is currently on a four-fight win streak. His last title defence was against former bantamweight champion Renan Barao via TKO punches in Round 4 at UFC on FOX 16.

Dominick Cruz has a MMA record of 20-1 and has a UFC record of 3-0. He holds notable wins over Urijah Faber, Demetrious Johnson, Ian McCall and Joseph Benavidez. Cruz’s latest win was against Takeya Mizugaki via TKO punches in Round 1 at UFC 178 in Las Vegas.
