After successfully beating Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson in the rematch at Bellator 175, King Mo Lawal will now take on newly signed former UFC Light Heavyweight Ryan Bader at Bellator 180 at Madison Square Garden in New York, June 24.
Ryan Bader (22-5) recently made the move over from the UFC to Bellator MMA and will make his Bellator debut this June. He left the UFC on a two fight win streak with TKO and KO wins over Antonio Rogerio Nogueria and Ilir Latifi. Previously to that, Bader had suffered a first round KO loss to title contender Anthony Johnson at UFC on FOX 18. This loss had put a stop to a five fight win streak which included a split decision win over current Bellator Light Heavyweight Champion Phil Davis.
King Mo now moves to 21-6-1 after defeating Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson at Bellator 175 this past Friday. This puts him back in the win column after suffering a loss to Mirko Cro Cop by second round TKO in The Rizin World Grand Prix back in December. Previously to that he had defeated Satoshi Ishii by unanimous decision, bouncing back after a loss to the current Light Heavyweight Champion Phil Davis last year.
This bout was announced during the Bellator 175 broadcast. This bout between Ryan Bader and King Mo will headline Bellator 180, the undercard for Bellator’s Pay-per-view event at Madison Square Garden in New York.
