Rory MacDonald eyes superfights against legends such as Fedor

Rory MacDonald made his Bellator debut this past Friday, defeating Paul daley by first round submission at Bellator 179.

Rory MacDonald spoke to the media backstage in London and spoke about his win, fighting for the title next and setting his sights on fighting for multiple weight division.

Apart from aiming to be a two division champion, Rory MacDonald wants the big fights against some of the legends of the sport.

“I want to be a champion, a two division champion if I can, and outside of that the big fights,” he said. “If I can fight the legendary fighters that are around here in Bellator, sign me up. Those I think are fan friendly fights, you know seeing a young up and coming Champion if I’m the champion at that point, fighting legendary status fighters I think that sells.”

“Fedor, wanderlei, you know these kind of guys,” he continued. “These are big guys and I think fans will like to see that.”

Rory joked that he would have to put weights in his shorts to fight the bigger guys but in the meantime Rory will move his attention to the next challenge, fighting for the Bellator Welterweight Title.
