Rampage Jackson back on UFC 186 as Court reverses Bellator MMA injunction

UFC have confirmed that Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson is back on the UFC 186 card and will now face his scheduled opponent Fábio Maldonado in the co-main event at UFC 186 in Montreal, Canada at the Bell Centre this Saturday.

Quinton Rampage Jackson first confirmed the news via his Twitter/Instagram.

Bellator MMA released a statement on the news.

“We are gratified that the Appellate Division did not disturb part of the Chancery Division order enjoining Jackson, but are disappointed that they reversed the injunction as to the April 25 fight. We continue to believe that Judge Suter’s decision was thorough, well reasoned and correct, and are evaluating our options.”

New Jersey Superior Court Judge Karen L. Suter granted Bellator MMA a injunction that prevented Rampage Jackson from fighting at UFC 186, but today it was confirmed that the court has reversed the injunction. This comes from Team Jackson appealing the ruling and it seems to have worked in their favour.

In the UFC statement Dana White also commented saying

“We are happy with the decision from the New Jersey Court allowing Rampage to fight in Montreal this Saturday night,” UFC President Dana White said. “I am looking forward to seeing Rampage back in the Octagon.”
