In a interview with submission radio Rafael Dos Anjos speaks on his upcoming fight against Donald Cowboy Cerrone at UFC on Fox 17. The UFC lightweight champion talks about Cowboy’s steroid allegations against him, why he thinks so many people have accused him of being on PEDs, Conor McGregor’s taunts at the UFC Go Big press conference, his fight against Chad Mendes and why he would crush Conor McGregor, and more.
In the interview dos Anjos stated:
“Yeah man, for my whole career I always did it the hard way. You know, I never pick fights, I never…it took me 17 fights to get my title shot and it wasn’t an easy way. And I think, like McGregor when he fought Chad Mendes, I think Chad Mendes exposed him. And I think style-wise, he’s not a good fight for me, you know. I think his game, he’s a good fighter, but it’s a bad match up for him fight against me.”
“If McGregor for any reason wanna come up, I would love to smash him.”
“No, actually for me, my focus right now is on Cowboy. But if Cowboy gets hurt and they replace Cowboy with McGregor, I will be happy to fight him. I’ll be happy to give him a welcome to the lightweight division. But it’s not a fight that I would prefer fighting McGregor than Cowboy.”
