Paul Daley Finishes Brennan Ward by Flying Knee at Bellator 170

Paul Daley finished Brennan Ward by spectacular flying knee at Bellator 170 in Inglewood, California last night.

Paul Daley threw a spinning elbow before landing the flying knee at just 2:27 into the very first round. Daley now holds 29 TKO/KO’s on his record with his last three wins coming inside of the second round.

In his post fight interview Daley showed respect to his opponent but wasted no time in calling out Rory MacDonald. “If Rory MacDonald get’s in the cage with me he’s getting knocked the f**k out !”

Rory MacDonald responded to the Brits call out via his twitter account.

“I think Rory is a extremely skillful and talented fighter,” Daley said at the post fight press conference. “The reason I’m calling him out is for that very reason. He’s come across from the other promotion, his credentials speak for themselves. He is a very tough guy and I like to test myself against fighters like him. He has a huge name, I think it would be a huge fight for Bellator, they’re the kind of match ups I need to be in to be motivated, for those dangerous type of fights”.

Coming off such an impressive win, a match up against a top named Welterweight such as Rory MacDonald next would be sure to get fans excited, but Daley also mentioned that a rematch against Douglas Lima would also not be off the cards.
