Neil Magny Steps In To Replace Injured Matt Brown At UFC Fight Night Mexico

Neil Magny has stepped in to face Kelvin Gastelum in the main event at UFC Fight Night 78 in Mexico, November 21st. Matt Brown suffered an ankle injury and had no choice but to pull out of the bout with just weeks to go before the fight.

Neil Magny (16-4) was originally scheduled to fight Stephen Thompson at UFC 195 in January but will step in to replace Matt Brown instead. Magny also stepped in as a replacement in his last bout and got a split decision win over Erick Silva. A couple of weeks prior to that, he had lost by submission to Demian Maia at UFC 190 in Brazil which put a stop to his seven fight win streak.

Magny will no doubt be hoping for the same luck as last time as he aims to get back on a win streak.
