Nate Diaz vs. Conor McGregor 2 official for UFC 202 Aug.20 in Las Vegas

It has been confirmed by the UFC that the rematch between Nate Diaz and the UFC Featherweight Champion Conor McGregor will take place at UFC 202 in Las Vegas August 20th. Diaz and McGregor were expected to square off against each other at UFC 200 but that was cancelled due to McGregor not wanting to commit to media obligations.

Conor McGregor has a MMA record of (19-3) and UFC record of (7-1). McGregor has notable wins over Chad Mendes, Dennis Siver, Diego Brandao, Max Holloway and Dustin Poirier. He won the Featherweight title by knocking out long reining former champion Jose Aldo in 13 seconds after a long awaited build up to the bout at UFC 194 in December of 2014. Prior to winning the Featherweight title McGregor had expressed his desire to move up to Lightweight and become a two division champion.

Nate Diaz has a MMA record of (19-10) and a UFC record of (14-8). Diaz has competed in the Lightweight and Welterweight division. He hold notable wins over Jim Miller, Donald Cerrone, Gray Maynard, Takanori Gomi and Melvin Guillard. His latest win was a submission rear naked choke win in Round 2 over Conor McGregor at UFC 196 back in March of this year.
