Bellator MMA have announced that commentators Mike Goldberg and Mauro Ranallo have signed to Bellator MMA and will call fights for the upcoming Bellator NYC event June 24.
Mike Goldberg is synonymous for his work and commentary with the UFC. He commentated for a number of years since 1997 and left the promotion at the end of 2016. His new colleague Mauro Ranallo has commentated for PRIDE, Strikeforce as well as other sports such as Showtime Boxing and the WWE.
“Mike Goldberg and Mauro Ranallo are two of the best in our business and I couldn’t be happier about them joining the Bellator family,” Bellator president Scott Coker said via a press release. “In addition to June 24, we look forward to working together to make future Spike broadcasts even more exciting for our fans as we add further depth to an already-exceptional broadcast team.”
Both commentators will join the current broadcast team that consists of Jimmy Smith, Jenn Brown and Chael Sonnen. They have both signed a multi-event agreement with the promotion which will start with Bellator NYC: Sonnen vs. Silva and Bellator 180: Davis vs. Bader on Saturday, June 24 from Madison Square Garden in New York.
