The UFC British Middleweight Champion Michael Bisping has announced his fight against Dan Henderson at UFC 204.
The event is due to take place in Manchester and will be Per-Per-View card.
The Champ announced the fight on his radio show on Sirius XM in America. “I plan on putting a beating on Henderson that people will never forget in a long long time” he said.
This will be the second time the two will meet inside the octagon with their first bout not going Michael Bisping’s way. He suffered a brutal KO by Henderson at UFC 100 in 2009 in a middleweight title eliminator. Since then Bisping has been determined to get his revenge, “I owe that guy, I owe that guy big time” he said when announcing the fight.
Michael Bisping won the Middleweight title last June when he defeated former champion Luke Rockhold by a first round KO. Previously to that, Bisping had won a unanimous and controversial decision over Anderson Silva in February. His last loss was to Luke Rockhold, one that he eventually avenged. His rematch against Dan Henderson will be Bisping’s first title defence.
Dan Henderson is coming off a second round KO victory over Hector Lombard at UFC 199 in June. Previously to that he had suffered a first round KO to Vitor Belfort in Brazil last year. Henderson holds notable wins over Rich Franklin, Fedor Emelianenko and Mauricio Rua to name but a few. He has won two out of his last five fights.
