Matt Brown to face Kelvin Gastelum in the main event at UFC Monterrey, Mexico Nov. 21

Two welterweights will square off as Matt Brown is set to take on Kelvin Gastelum in a five round main event at UFC Monterrey, Mexico November 21st.

Matt Brown has a MMA record of 20-13 and has won two out of his last four fights in the UFC. Brown has notable wins over Stephen Thompson, Mike Swick, Douglas Lima, and Erick Silva just to name a few. Brown’s most recent win was over Tim Means via submission rear naked choke in Round 1 at UFC 189 this past July.

It looks like Kelvin Gastelum has managed to convince the UFC that he can make 170lbs after his last fight at middleweight. Gastelum has an MMA record of 11-1 and has won three out of his last four fights. His most recent win was at middleweight against Nate Marquardt where the fight was stopped via TKO corner stoppage at the end of Round 2 at UFC 188 in Mexico the past June.
