Matt Brown set to face Jake Ellenberger at UFC 201

The UFC have confirmed that Matt Brown will take on Jake Ellenberger at UFC 201, July 30th at the Philips Arena in Atlanta Georgia.

Matt Brown (20-14) is coming off a recent loss to Demian Maia at UFC 198 in Brazil. Previous to that, Brown had won by a first round submission over Tim Means in at UFC 189 in July. He has lost 3 out of his last 4 fights including losses to current Wlterweight Champion Robbie Lawler and former Champion, Johny Hendricks.

Jake Ellenberger (30-11) is coming off a loss to Tarec Saffiedine back in January. Previously to that, Ellenberger had suffered a KO loss to Stephen Thompson at the TUF 21 finale back in July. His last win was to Josh Koscheck at UFC 184 in February 2015. That win put an end to a previous 3 fight losing streak including losses to former title contender Rory MacDonald and current welterweight champion Robbie Lawler.

This event is headlined by a Welterweight championship bout between current champion Robbie Lawler and title contender Tyron Woodley.
