It has been reported by the Independent that Irishman Josephy Duffy will take on Mitch Clarke at UFC Fight Night 90 in Las Vegas July 7th.
Josephy Duffy was famously known for being the last man, prior to Nate Diaz to beat Conor McGregor. Duffy has an MMA record of 14-2 and a UFC record of 2-1. He lost his last bout against Dustin Poirier UFC 195 by decision. This fight had been rescheduled and was meant to take place in the main event at UFC Dublin a couple of months prior but Duffy had suffered a concussion during the run up to the fight and the main event was pulled. Duffy had won both his previous fights by first round finishes and has won three out of his last four fights.
Mitch Clarke has an MMA record of 11-3 and a UFC record of 2-3. He is coming off a decision loss to Michael Chiesa on April last year. Previous to that, Clarke had won a second round submission win over Al laquinta at UFC 173 the year before. He has won two out of his last four fights.
This bout is headlined by a title fight between UFC Lightweight Champion Rafael dos Anjos and Eddie Alvarez.
