Jon Jones facing battery charge for alleged Strip Club incident

It seems Jon Jones maybe in a spot of trouble with the law again following a report from KRQE.

The article reports an incident involving UFC Light Heavyweight champion Jon Jones and a cocktail waitress at an Albuquerque strip club back in April. The victim claims that Jones slapped her inappropriately, pulled her down to his lap and kissed her on the neck and put her in a choke hold, lifting her off the ground.

Jon Jones has not been arrested, but charged with one count of battery. A spokesman for Jon Jones gave the following statement to KROE 13.

“Today, the media told Mr. Jones about a false accusation launched against him and that paperwork had been sent to an incorrect address, however after receiving the documents from the press, Mr. Jones immediately went to pay the small fee, and he, and multiple witnesses, stand ready to factually refute the malicious lies being told about him to the public.”

James Hallinan, Jones spokesperson claims the allegations are ‘malicious lies’ however this is not the first time Jones has been in trouble with the law.

Jones spoke out recently on Twitter. “I’m definitely not in any trouble my friend.” He wrote. “Don’t be so quick to believe everything you read on the internet”.
