John Dodson makes the move to Bantamweight

It was announced by Ariel Helwani on UFC Tonight that John Dodson will make the move back to the Bantamweight devision.

Dodson made his UFC debut at Batamweight when he won TUF: Bisping vs Miller back in 2011. He won the show by defeating current UFC Bantamweight Champion T.J Dillashaw by TKO in the first round at The TUF finale.

Having this win over Dillashaw was just one of the deciding factors leading to his decision. The other reason behind the move was the ban on IV rehydration and more frequent drug testing which his manager Ricky Kottenstette said will level the playing field.

Dodson has suffered two losses to the current UFC Flyweight Champion, Demetrious Johnson but has beaten everyone else in that devision. He hopes to fight next in December or January and will look to make his mark at Bantamweight.
