The UFC have announced another bout for UFC 224 taking place May 12 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. NO. 2 ranked Middleweight Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza will take on No. 5 ranked Middleweight Kelvin Gastelumn.

Jacare Souza (25-5-1) is coming off a first round TKO win over Derek Brunson at UFC on Fox 27 back in January. Previously to that he had suffered a second round TKO loss to the now current UFC Middleweight champion Robert Whittaker back in April. Jacare has won three out of his last four bouts with all three wins finishing in the first round.
Kelvin Gastelumn (14-3-1) is coming off a first round KO win over former Middleweight champion Michael Bisping at UFC Fight Night 122 in November. This followed a submission loss to former champion Chris Weidman back in July and a no contest result in his fight against Vitor Belfort as Gastelumn tested positive for marijuana. He has currently won two out of his last four fights with two of those bouts earning him a performance of the night bonus.
Other bouts already announced for UFC 224 is a matchup between retiring Vitor Belfort and Lyoto Machida.
