The UFC have confirmed that former UFC Bantamweight Champion Holly Holm will take on Bethe Correia in the main event at UFC Singapore, June 17.
Holly Holm (10-3) known for being the one to dethrone Ronda Rousey, is currently coming off three back to back losses after loosing the Bantamweight title to Miesha Tate at UFC 196 back in March. After loosing the title, Holm lost to Valentina Schevchenko and then fought for the vacant UFC Featherweight title, suffering a loss to Germaine De Randamie by unanimous decision. Holly Holm will now return back to the Bantamweight division in hopes of getting back into the win column.
Bethe Correia (10-2) is coming off a majority draw decision over Marion Reneau back in March. Previously to that, Correia had won via split decision over Jessica Eye which put a stop to her two fight loosing streak. Those losses came from Ronda Rousey and Raquel Pennington back in 2015 and 2016.
This is the second time that the UFC will hold an event in Singapore with the last time being back in 2014. This event will take place at the Singapore Indoor Stadium June 17. More bouts are scheduled to be announced.
