Gegard Mousasi vs Chris Weidman set for UFC 210

The UFC have announced that Gegard Mousasi will take on the former UFC Middleweight Champion Chris Weidman at UFC 210, April 10th in Buffalo New York.

Gegard Mousasi (41-6-2) is coming off a TKO victory over Uriah Hall in a rematch at UFC Belfast this past November. His previous loss to Uriah Hall was one that bothered him and he was keen to avenge it in order to continue climbing the ladder to reach a shot at the title. Previously to his win over Hall, Mousasi had won another TKO victory this time over the legend Vitor Belfort at UFC 204 in October. Mousasi is currently on a four fight win streak and another win, this time over a former champion such as Chris Weidman will be sure to put him in the title picture.

The former Champion Chris Weidman (13-2) is coming off a loss to the number one contender Yoel Romero at UFC 205 in November. He lost the bout by a devastating knee that finished the former champion early in round three. Previously to that, Weidman had lost the UFC Middleweight belt to Luke Rockhold at UFC 194 by TKO. This was Weidman’s fourth title defence after defending his belt against Vitor Belfort, Lyoto Machida and Anderson Silva. He will look to get back on track with a win over Mousasi.

This event will take place at the Key Bank Centre in Buffalo, New York.
