Gegard Mousasi to defend his Middleweight title against Rafael Lovato Jr. at Bellator 214

Bellator MMA have announced that Gegard Mousasi vs Rafael Lovato Jr. will serve as the co-main event at Bellator 214, January 26.

Gegard Mousasi (45-6-2) will make his second title defence this January after coming away with a second round TKO win over Rory MacDonald at Bellator 206 back in September. Mousasi won the Bellator Middleweight title by defeating Rafael Carvalho by TKO at Bellator 200 in May.

Rafael Lovato Jr (9-0) is currently undefeated and has gone the distance just once, with the rest of his wins coming via submission or TKO. He is currently coming off a submission win over John Salter at Bellator 205 in September. This will be his first shot at Bellator gold.

This event takes place at the Forum in Inglewood, California. It is headlined by Bellator Heavyweight Grand Prix finalists Fedor Emelianenko and Ryan Bader. They will go head to head for the Bellator Heavyweight title.
