Floyd Mayweather to return against Tenshin Nasukawa at Rizin New Years Eve Show

It has been reported that undefeated boxing legend Floyd Mayweather will come out of retirement once more, this time to take on MMA fighter and kickboxer Tenshin Nasukawa at Rizin 14, taking place Dec 31 in Japan.

The news was announced during a Rizin press conference in Japan where both Floyd Mayweather and his new opponent Tenshin Nasukawa made and appearance.

“Rizin has done a remarkable job with the fighters,” Mayweather said following the announcement. “I look forward to giving you guys entertainment come December 31, but my relationship with Rizin doesn’t stop just here. I look forward to taking this worldwide.”





“Nobody has defeated my opponent in the past,” Nasukawa said. “I would like to be the man who makes history. My punch can change history and I will show that to you, so please stay tuned.”

Rizin 14 will take place at the Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan on New Years Eve. Not much more details have been given, but the match will include ‘special rules’ which are yet to be finalised. More details are to be expected.
