Fabricio Werdum vs Cain Velasquez 2 set for UFC 207

It has been announced that two former UFC Heavyweight champions, Fabricio Werdum and Cain Velasquez will face off again in a rematch scheduled for UFC 207 in Las Vegas, December 30th.

Cain Velasquez (14-2) is coming off a recent 1st round TKO victory over Travis Browne at UFC 200. Previously to that he had suffered a submission loss to Fabricio Werdum in their first fight at UFC 188 last year when he lost the UFC Heavyweight title. He won that title for the second time at UFC 155 after defeating Junior dos Santos in 2012.

Fabricio Werdum (22-6-1) is also coming off a win to Travis Browne at UFC 203 this past September. Previously to that he had lost the UFC Heavyweight title to the current champion Stipe Miocic by a 1st round KO at UFC 198. That was his first title defence since winning the belt from Cain Velasquez.

Both men will look to get another shot at the UFC Heavyweight title. This bout is headlined by the return of Ronda Rousey as she takes on the current woman’s Bantamweight Champion Amanda Nunez.
