The UFC have confirmed that two Welterweights, Leon Edwards and Bryan Barberena will go head to head at UFC Rotterdam this September.
Leon Edwards (13-3) is coming off a unanimous decision victory over Vicente Luque at UFC Fight Night 107 this past March in London. Previously to that, Edwards had submitted Albert Tumenov by rear naked choke at UFC 204. He is currently on a three fight win streak after loosing a decision to Kamaru Usman back at UFC On FOX 17 back in December 2015, his second loss in the promotion. He is now 5-2 in the UFC.
Bryan Barberena (13-4) has a similar record and is 4-2 in the UFC. He is coming off a first round TKO victory over Joe Proctor at UFC Fight Night 108 this past April. This put him back on track since loosing a decision to Colby Covington back in December. Barberena has won three out of his last four, one of his wins being a submission win over Sage Northcutt in January last year.
This fight has been added to UFC Rotterdam which will take place at the Ahoy Arena, September 2. This is the second time the UFC returns to Rotterdam, Stefan Struve vs Alexander Volkov headlines the card.
