Drew Dober set to face Efrain Escudero at UFC 188 in Mexico

Drew Dober is set to take on Efrain Escudero in a lightweight bout at UFC 188 in Mexico City, Mexico June 13th. Drew Dober has won one of his last four fights with his most recent win being over Jamie Varner at UFC on Fox 13, where he won by submission rear naked choke in round 1. Dober is coming off of a controversial fight UFC Fight Night 62 where referee Eduardo Herdy stopped the bout at 2:45 of the second round, as Herdy believed Dober had tapped out to a guillotine choke. Dana White confirmed that he still will be paying Dober his show money despite the fight being ruled as a loss. Dober’s coach appealed the decision and it was later overturned to a no-contest by the Comissao Atletica Brasileira de MMA (CABMMA) – the Brazilian MMA Athletic Commission on March 26. Mexican born Efrain Escudero has won two out of his last 4 fights, with his most recent win being over Rodrigo de Lima by unanimous decision at UFC Fight Night 60 back in February.
