Daniel Cormier set to face Jon Jones in the main event at UFC 200

The UFC have announced the rematch between UFC Light heavyweight Champion Daniel Cormier and Interim Light Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones will take place at UFC 200 July 9th at the T Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

The pair had previously fought at UFC 182 in January last year but this time Jon Jones will look to be the undisputed UFC Light Heavyweight Champion. Cormier and Jones was scheduled to fight at UFC 197 but Cormier had to withdraw from the bout due to a knee injury.

Daniel Cormier (17-1) became the new Light Heavyweight Champion back in May at UFC 187 after defeating Anthony Johnson for the then vacant Light Heavyweight title. He is coming off his first title defence against Alexander Gustafsson at UFC 192 in October. He won the bout by a close split decision. His last loss was to Jon Jones at UFC 182.

Jon Jones (22-1) and is (16-1) in the UFC. Jones holds notable wins over Alexander Gustafsson, Rashad Evans, Rampage Jackson, Lyoto Machida, Vitor Belfort and Daniel Cormier just to name a few. His latest win was this past Saturday at UFC 197 against Ovince Saint Preux via unanimous decision.
