Dana White Talks About Ronda Rousey & Holly Holm Altercation

Dana White spoke to Submission Radio ahead of UFC 193 in Melbourne, Australia. He spoke about the altercation that took place between Bantamweight Champion Ronda Rousey and Holly Holm at the weigh-ins and said how he blames himself for the way things unfolded between the two during the stare down.

“Ronda went after her and it seemed like they were jockeying for position either on the outside or whatever, and then Holly’s hand was here and then just, Holly just hit her and then it was on.”

“It’s my job to make sure that that doesn’t happen and that they don’t put their hands on each other, and apparently I didn’t do my job today.”

Dana addressed any rumours that the altercation may have been fake or encouraged, “Two women are selling over 50,000 tickets here and this thing’s trending as one of the biggest pay-per-views we’ve ever done, let alone this year. So yeah, there’s no push to go out and do anything fake” He told them.

Dana White also spoke about Miesha Tate and the talks about her possible retirement, the Reebok deal and the difficulties of doing a show in Croke Park Ireland.
