Conor McGregor tweeted this morning that he was back on UFC 200 but Dana White recently spoke to TMZ to confirm that his tweet is in fact untrue.
“It’s not true, He told TMZ. “We haven’t talked to Conor or his manager since the press conference. I don’t know why he would tweet that.”
It was perhaps McGregors last try to get the UFC and Dana White to change their minds about letting the fight between Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz to go ahead after he was pulled from the fight for being in Iceland training when he should of been filming the events commercial and attending other marketing and media obligations.
Dana White also told TMZ, “All the media keeps asking me that. I feel like the scene in ‘Step Brothers’ when they ask if they can build the bunk beds. I don’t know how many more times I can say the fight is off or how many more press conferences I can have saying the fight is off for people to believe it’s off.”
