Cris Cyborg will drop to 140 in attempt to get Ronda Rousey in the future

It was confirmed by Shannon Knapp at the Invicta FC 14 Post Fight Press Conference that Cristiane ‘Cyborg’ Justino will be making the move to 140 at the next Invicta FC event in November.

Cyborg’s opponent and venue is yet to be confirmed for the next Invicta FC event, but this is all in steps toward a potential fight between Cyborg and current UFC Bantamweight Champion Ronda Rousey. Cyborg has campaigned on many occasions for a catchweight fight against Rousey. This has been shut down many of times by the UFC President Dana White who confirmed in an interview that:

“The day she makes the weight and does what she’s suppose to do that fights on, you I don’t want that fight to happen, now I’m changing my mind on that fight, I think that fight does 2 and a half millions buys, I think that fight is massive.”

If this fight was to happen it will be without a doubt a massive attraction, but it all is on Cris Cyborg. It’s whether she can get down to 135 pounds, but only time will tell.
