Cris Cyborg (20-1-1) last fought at UFC 222 in March when she defeated Yana Kunitskaya by first round TKO. Previously to that, Cris Cyborg had gone to a decision against former UFC women’s Bantamweight Champion Holly Holm at UFC 219 in December last year. This was her first UFC title defence since winning the title back at UFC 214 last July.
Amanda Nunes (16-4) is currently coming off a TKO win over Raquel Pennington at UFC 214 in May. Previously to that, the Bantamweight Champion had taken away a split decision over Valentina Shevchenko in a rematch at UFC 215 last year. Amanda Nunes has successfully defended her title three times since winning it at UFC 200 by submitting Miesha Tate.
