Conor McGregor under investation for claims of sexual assault

A report from the New York Times has revealed that Conor McGregor is currently under investigation in Ireland on claims of sexual assault.

McGregor was arrested and questioned in January but was not charged with any crime. The assault is believed to have taken place at the Beacon Hotel in Dublin during December and according the the New York Times, McGregor is an occasional guest there. According to their sources, McGregor usually books the penthouse, with his last visit being in December.

Conor McGregor’s publisist issued the following statement. “This story has been circulating for some time and it is unclear why it is being reported now. The assumption that the Conor’s retirement announcement today is related to this rumor is absolutely false. Should Conor fight in the future it must be in an environment where fighters are respected for their value, their skill, their hard work and their dedication to the sport.”

Conor McGregor recently announced his retirement on twitter.
