The UFC today announced that the main event between Joseph Duffy and Dustin Poirier at UFC Dublin has been cancelled. This was due to Joseph Duffy suffering a mild concussion during training earlier in the week. The fight between Paddy Holohan and Louis Smolka has replaced the main event but that didn’t stop Conor McGregor from wanting to save the day.
McGregor took to twitter to say,
I will give peanut another crack at the King no sweat. I’ll take the gate. It’s my gate anyway. A cool 7. Cash. See you at the weigh ins.

This is very unlikely to happen due to McGregor’s scheduled fight with Jose Aldo at UFC 194 in December, but Im sure it would be one that the Irish fans would love to see happen.
