Former two division UFC champion Conor McGregor has been charged with second and third degree felonies for an incident involving a fan in the early hours of Monday morning in Miami, Florida.
Conor McGregor was charged with strong armed robbery and criminal mischief for allegedly slapping a phone out of the hand of a fan and destroying the device by stamping on it several times outside the Fountainebleu Hotel in Miami.
McGregor was later arrested and transported to Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center where he paid the $12,500 bond and was released that night.
His Lawyer Samuel Rabin issued the following statement. “Last evening Conor McGregor was involved in a minor altercation over a cell phone that resulted in a call to law enforcement. Mr McGregor appreciates the response of law enforcement and pledges his full cooperation.”
McGregor also took to social media to address the situation.
