CM Punk suffers his first pro MMA loss to Mickey Gall at UFC 203

Former WWE Wrestler CM Punk made his MMA debut at UFC 203 against Mickey Gall in Cleveland Ohio. With no previous experience and training under the guidance of Duke Roufus, his long awaited debut lasted just 2:14.

Mickey Gall now 3-0, also a brown belt in jiu jitsu took down Punk and forced him to tap by a Rear Naked Choke. “In life you go big, you go home” Punk said to Joe Rogan in his octagon interview. “This was a hell of a mountain to try to climb and I didn’t get to the summit today but that doesn’t mean that Im going to give up, it doesn’t mean I’m going to stop.”

With a bruised face, an emotional CM Punk told the media in the post fight press conference that he was unsure about his future with the UFC but wants to continue his journey within the sport of MMA. “I don’t know what happens from here on out. What if I get cut ? I don’t know, I think thats a possibility. Do I want that to happen no, but who’s to say where I go from here. I definitely want to keep on going” He said.

For the moment it is too early to predict what the future holds for CM Punk in the UFC and in MMA in general. Dana White said in his interview with Megan Olivi “He’s a great guy, I have a lot of respect for him and lets see what happens.”
