It’s been confirmed by UFC Brazil Senior Vice President and General Manager Giovani Decker that Clay Guida is set to take on Thiago Tavares at UFC Fight Night São Paulo, Brazil November 7th. This card is headlined by former UFC Light-Heavyweight Champion Vitor Belfort and former Strikeforce Light-Heavyweight Champion Dan Henderson.
Clay Guida who has been in the UFC since 2006, has a MMA record of 32-15 and a UFC record of 12-9. Guida has currently won two out of his last four fights in the UFC. Guida hold notable wins over current Lightweight Champion Rafael Dos Anjos, Anthony Pettis, Takanori Gomi and Nate Diaz. His latest win was via unanimous decision against Robbie Peralta at UFC Fight Night 63 earlier this year in the month of April.
Thiago Tavares who has been in the UFC since 2007, has a MMA record of 19–6–1 and a UFC record of 9-6-1. Tavares has also won two out of his last four fights in the UFC. His latest fight was a TKO punches loss in Round 3 to Brian Ortega at UFC Fight Night 68 this past June.
