It’s been confirmed on ESPN Sports Centre that Brock Lesnar will take on Mark Hunt in the co-main event at UFC 200 July 9th at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. This card will be headlined by UFC Light-Heavyweight Daniel Cormier and the Interim Light-Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones.
It was confirmed that the news of Brock Lesnar returning was first reported by MMA Fighting’s Ariel Helwani and then was later confirmed on the UFC 199 broadcast.
WWE even tweeted confirming the news stating that this is a one off fight and Lesnar will be returning to wrestle at SummerSlam that takes place in August.
The former UFC Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar has a MMA record (5-3) and a UFC record of (4-3). He holds notable wins over Frank Mir, Randy Couture, Shane Carwin and Heath Herring. Lesnar’s last fight that took place back in 2011 was a TKO loss in the first round to current number 1 contender Alistair Overeem at UFC 141.
Mark Hunt has a MMA record of (12–10–1) and a UFC record of (7-4-1). He holds notable wins over Bigfoot Silva, Roy Nelson, Stefan Struve, Cheick Kongo, Wanderlei Silva and Ben Rothwell. His latest win was a KO win in Round 1 over Frank Mir at UFC Fight Night 85 back in March of this year.
