Ben Askren will make his UFC debut against former UFC welterweight champion Robbie Lawler at UFC 233 in Anaheim.
Ben Askren was part of a trade between ONE Championship and the UFC, where Askren was traded for former flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson.
Brett Okomoto from ESPN broke the news and according to Dana White, the contracts are not yet signed but in the process of being finalised.

Ben Askren (18-0-1) has remained undefeated in his MMA career and had until now been retired. He is a former Bellator and ONE welterweight champion and has finished his last three oponants in the first and second rounds.
Robbie Lawler (28-12-1) is a former UFC welterweight champion, losing the belt to Tyron Woodley back at UFC 201 in 2016. Since then, he went on to win by unanimous decision over Donald Cerrone but suffered a TKO loss most recently to former champion Rafael dos Anjos back in December.
UFC 233 will take place at the Honda Centre in Anaheim, Jan. 26. More details to follow.
