Artem Lobov reflects on having Conor McGregor cage side at UFC Belfast

Artem Lobov is known for being the sparring partner for UFC Featherweight and Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor. Having come off of his first win in the UFC over Chris Avila at UFC 202, he faced Alpha Male Featherweight Teruto Ishihara next at UFC Fight Night Belfast.

Lobov won the bout via unanimous decision dominating the first two rounds and catching Ishihara on several occasions. Unable to be by McGregor’s side when he made history becoming the first to hold two belts from different divisions at the same time at UFC 205, McGregor was cageside at UFC Belfast to support him.

Artem Lobov reflects on the moment his hand was raised and told McGregor to Jump the fence so they could celebrate both victories together. “I wanted to celebrate his win, I wanted to celebrate my win and it was just a great moment” Artem said at the post fight press conference.
