Anderson Silva vs Kelvin Gastelum set for UFC 212 in Rio

The UFC have announced that Anderson Silva will go head to head with Kelvin Gastelum at UFC 212, June 3 in Rio De Janeiro.

Anderson Silva 34-8-1 is coming off a decision win over Derek Brunson at UFC 208 this past February. Previously to that, Silva had lost a Light Heavyweight bout against UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Daniel Cormier as a last minute replacement in the UFC 200 main event. He had also lost to Michael Bisping last year in a controversial decision. He is currently 1-4-1 since loosing the UFC Middleweight title to Chris Weidman in 2013.

Kelvin Gastelum 14-2 called out Anderson Silva after his most recent win over another legend, Vitor Belfort by first round TKO this March. Gastelum is currently riding a three fight win streak with wins over Tim Kennedy and Johny Hendricks. Gastelum returned to Middleweight in his last two fights after troubles making weight and will continue to climb the rankings with a win over another legend, top seven ranked Anderson Silva.

This bout is headlined by a Featherweight title bout between UFC featherweight Champion Jose Aldo and Interim Champion Max Holloway.
