Amanda Nunes finishes Ronda Rousey in 48 seconds at UFC 207

The former UFC Woman’s Bantamweight Champion and cross over star, Ronda Rousey made her return last night at UFC 207 in Las Vegas. After a year off and having suffered one of the biggest upset losses in UFC history, the world was watching to see how she would bounce back.

On the lead up the UFC 207 little mention had been giving to the current Champion Amanda Nunes as the spot light had been on Ronda. Ronda had also refused to speak to any MMA media and was seen for the first time at the early weigh ins on Thursday morning.

Ronda Rousey made the first walk to the octagon as the challenger. Stone faced, she looked as though she meant business. Amanda Nunes followed next to a roar of boo’s. Unfazed by the crowd and popularity of Ronda, she remained calm.

Nunes established her range and picked apart Rousey from the very start until the referee Herb Dean had seen enough and put a stop to the championship fight at just 48 seconds into the opening round. Another victory for the champion and another devastating loss for Ronda Rousey. “She (Ronda) had her time, she did a lot for the sport, thank you Ronda Rousey”. Amanda Nunes told Joe Rogan in her post fight octagon interview. “But right now I’m the champion and I’m here to stay”, She said.
