Alexander Gustafsson vs Jan Blachowicz set for UFC Hamburg

Light Heavyweights Alexander Gustafsson & Jan Blachowicz will go head to head at UFC Hamburg, September 3rd at the Barclaycard Arena.

Alexander Gustafsson has an MMA record of 16-4 and will make his return after time away from the sport. He last fought in October last year when he lost to current UFC light Heavyweight Champion Daniel Cormier at UFC 192 by split decision. Previously to that, Gustafsson had suffered a 1st round TKO loss to Anthony Johnson in a title eliminator in his home of Stockholm Sweden. He famously came close to beating the former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones in an epic 5 round fight that received Fight of the night and fight of the year in 2013.

Jan Blachowicz has an MMA record of 19-5 and has had 4 fights in the UFC, going 2-2. He had two straight losses in 2015 to Jimi Manuwa and Corey Anderson but returned to win his most previous fight against Igor Pokrajac at UFC Fight Night Zagreb in Croatia in April.

This card is headlined by a Heavyweight bout between Josh Barnett and Andrei Arlovski.
