The UFC have announced that welterweight’s Gunnar Nelson and Alex Oliveira will go head to head at UFC 231 in Toronto, Dec 8.
Gunnar Nelson (16-3-1) is returning from an injury that forced him to withdraw from his scheduled bout against Neil Magny at UFC Fight Night 130 in May. He last fought in July 2017 when he suffered a KO loss to Santiago Ponzinibbio at UFC Fight Night 113. That loss had put an end to a two fight win streak that included two second round submission wins over Albert Tumenov and Alan Jouban.
